Rural location with access via an unmade track, not suitable for very low ground clearance vehicles. Direct access to Bodmin Moor, with good walking up Caradon Hill, to the village of Minions (tea rooms etc.), and on to the Cheesewring (a rock outcrop), Cheesering Quarry, and The Hurlers (stone circles). We do serve absolutely fantastic food and yes it is essential to book in advance. As this lady pointed out our rooms have some small points which need updating and these are in the process of being done systematically. However, as you can see yes children go free ie. we do not charge extra for them as all our rooms...
We stayed here for a weekend away in Decmber. Not always the best time to stay out in the wilds on the moors but the location, friendliness of the owners and the excellent comfort more than made up for the depressing weather. What a find !! This place is wonderful. Not only do you have free access to your room to come and go as you like, but the hotel is situated on the side of Caradon Hill on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It was wonderful to wake up to the sound of..........well nothing really as it was sooooo quiet out... more
