The Fountain Springs is an ideall guest house situated in Portreath, 3 miles from Redruth on the northern coastline of Cornwall. It has plenty of parking and is within walking distance of the beach, cafes and restaurants. We stayed in Room 3, which has a sea view. The guest house is family run and friendly. We were met by a rather friendly local cat sunning itself on the wall, then went in and were shown the lovely room, which was clean and tidy. We had been given lots of fresh clean towels and were shown everything and told to buzz down if we needed anything. The room was lovely and the bed was clean and comfy. There were plenty of mirrors and spare blankets and hairdryer in the wardrobe. The ensuite was spacious with free toiletries (not really expected ina guest house). There were tea and coffee facilities and a nice tv in the room too. We were given a key to the front door and given advise on where to eat.
