Having stayed at this Travelodge a few times at the start of holidays we were looking forward to it as it means that we have a fresh start on the first day of our holiday. After a long journey we were hoping to have an afternoon nap before going out for dinner, but instead of the lovely light room that... more

We had a very good all-in deal -breakfast and dinner included and the food was good - great value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful The room was clean and spacioius and very quiet considering it was near a main road. The location was ideal as we visited Eden Project and Heligan. We would certainly stay in... more

Choose the St Austell Travelodge for its location for the Eden Project & Lost Gardens of Heligan. Reception staff dour & miserable. Requests for missing towels meet with slow responce. Had a family room at the front, ENSURE if possible a room at the rear as the noise from the youths reving their cars and motorcycles, testing their "musical" car... more

The family room was baking hot despite wet and windy weather. Window opening was very limited providing extremely poor ventilation making it difficult to sleep. The staff put it down to the hotel being full which didn't seem like a plausible explanation as the communal areas were nice and cool. They provided us on request a fan which was useless... more

Fairly new Travelodge, conveniently located in a small retail park at the edge St Austell, within a short distance of attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The popularity of the location presumably explains why the cost of this Travelodge is higher than normal. Staff were fine, and we had a room at the back... more

Located on a retail park close to the main road through St Austell, this Travelodge is conveniently located. But despite being only a few years old, it is already looking tired. We visited in the middle of August, and on a hot day our room was uncomfortably stuffy, even with the window open (which then made it very noisty). We... more

We had stayed here before (comment left for September 2008) and had not been very happy with the hotel. Problems booking hotels in the area for a couple of days this year meant we risked another stay in the hope of improvements and actually things were better. We had another room at the back of the hotel so we didn't... more

Having walked out of our previous hotel which was awful, we needed accomodation and were able to book in here at very short notice. We were at the back of the hotel which was really quiet. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed regrouting, but this didn't make it dirty, just untidy. The staff... more
