Have stayed in all the cottages several times over the last ten years with friends and familly and we all love the place as do the visitors we've met there. If you go there like us you'll wonder how "Surrey Sally" could see things so differently! more

We have just returned from a new year break at Poltarrow we had 2 cottages (Roebuck and Fallow) there were 12 of us altogether and childrens' ages range from 2-7yrs old. The cottages are fully equipped (even with washing machine and tumble dryer), very clean and comfortable. The weather was freezing and we were all very cosy and warm inside.... more

Poltarrow is excellently situated for exploring Cornwall, while being quietly secluded itself. Judith couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions and directions for excursions and walks. We were made to feel completely welcome. The room was comfortable and elegant and breakfast plentiful and delicious. Everything seems to have been thought of to make your stay more enjoyable and weatherproof, from... more

Stayed in one of the cottages (Stag) with my wife and three young children. Cottage was very musty in places, with one room being almost too pungent to remain in. Cupboards in kitchen were similar, with sugar going damp within one day. Facilities of pool and sports hall were good, as was the scones / welcome etc on arrival. However,... more

Lovely peaceful place to stay. Host Judith was lovely and welcoming. Room was lovely, spotlessly clean and the breakfast was super with a great choice. Poltarrow is situated near heligan and Eden , also near other attractions. We did not have to travel miles. We will definitly return as we enjoyed our stay so much. more

Poltarrow Farm offers 2 types of accommodation, self catering cottages and B&B which is partly in the old farm house and partly in a self contained building attached. The farm also has a swimming pool which we understand was warm but we did not use it and a sports hall as well as a games room for younger children so... more

We spent a week at Poltarrow last May and it was perfect. We stayed in the Sika cottage; the rooms were of a very good size, extremely well presented and clean. When we arrived we were welcomed with fresh scones and cream as well as emergency supplies such as bread, eggs, milk and cereals. After a long journey it was... more

Poltarrow was such a lovely place to stay - clean, friendly, welcoming, fantastic breakfast and run by such a lovely lady who is has a mindful of information on places to go in Cornwall. We stayed in the B&B part (there are SC cottages). There is an indoor pool, mini-sports hall (with table tennis, tennis, badminton, pool table and bowls... more

We recently visited Poltarrow Farm and stayed in one of the 5 holiday cottages that are situated around the courtyard. Stag cottage was fitted out with everything you could need; washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, American style fridge etc. Alot of thought has gone into the barn conversion, decor and overall finish and when we arrived it was impecably clean... more

We spent five days at Poltarrow combining a business trip and pleasure. It is well signposted from the A390 coming out of St Austell and there is an impressive drive lined with horsechesnut tress planted in 1992. We were welcomed with a tray of tea and biscuits in the lounge, which was available for use at any time of the... more
