We only stayed here one night, but we almost could not bear to leave – and we will definitely go back! Every part of this B&B is wonderful – you are met with a cheery hello and welcome offer of a cup of tea from Heather the host, the furnishings are nice, rooms clean and bright and the bedding and... more

Great welcome from Heather; helpful responses to all our requests and enquiries; warm, genuine and high quality service. Delicious breakfast with lots of home-made food. Stylish, comfortable, spacious and spotless room. Could happily have stayed here more than the one night we did. No wonder Bankside and Heather earn the plaudits they do. more

I spent six nights at Bankside in late August and it was simply divine. Outstanding breakfasts and great rooms, what more could you ask for? Every detail was covered: maps and recommendations were provided, fresh flasks of milk for tea and coffee each day for the room, chocolate on the pillow. Heather's food is delicious, both breakfast and the cream... more

For a 4 star guesthouse you really do get what you pay for. I am 15 and stayed with my beat friend and his parents. The rooms were very spaciuos, we occupied two rooms, a double and a triple with a single and a double bed. Both were incredibly spacious with a fresh yet warm and welcoming feeling. Our room... more

We spent a night at Bankside in late September - a birthday treat for Mum, including a visit to Heligan. We stayed in the two ensuite rooms. I'd read the reviews here and checked their own website and I wholeheartedly agree with the positive comments already posted - Heather was a wonderful hostess, the rooms were lovely as was the... more

We stayed in room 1 for four nights, which is very clean, comfortable, spacious and has a lovely view of the front garden. The ensuite shower/wc room was great with lovely fresh towels every... more

We had a warm and friendly welcome, a delicious cream tea, and a really attractive room. The beds are really comfortable with crisp white sheets, fresh flowers, comfy chairs, and tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk. The shower rooms are great, and the breakfast is outstanding. The homemade bread, jam and yogurt, fresh fruit, pancakes, smoked salmon etc... more

We chose Bankside having read reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disapppointed in any way. We arrived and had the delicious Cornish Cream Tea before settling into our room which was spacious, clean with a very comfortable bed. The en-suite was modern with plenty of towels. The tea and coffee-making facilities had fresh milk brought by Heather daily. Loads of... more
