This is a great little hotel set in a picturesque village in St Austells. It has only 4 guestrooms so privacy, peace and personal attention from the owners are assured. The food is to die for. We would recommend the Beeches without a shadow of a doubt. The service was excellent, both friendly and efficient showing the nice small touches and attention to detail that is so lacking in many bigger hotels. Booked this as a last minute alternative to another in St Austell. It is in Charlestown which is incredibly attractive. Just 300 yards down the hill is a picture book Cornish harbour with little or no seaside tat. We ate at the harbour twice and had great food both times. Wreckers bistro especially recommended.
