This hotel really relies upon its location to charge extremely high rates ($500pn for a motel room!) in very tired and dated rooms. I do not think a cent has been spent on the rooms since the hotel opened many years ago. There was no extra charge made for the rat running around in the reception area howver! more

We were led to believe this was the best palce to stay... What a rude surprise we received. Rude staff, inept service and filthy rooms. Byron Bay desrves better from the "benchmark" hotel. This place simply thrives oof its location and reputation. DO NOT stay there. Over priced and terrible. more
