My family has just returned from a week staying at Mandeni Resort which is located about 6km from Merimbula. There are about 30 cabins located on about 200 hectares with a 9 nine golf course, a 9 hole pitch and putt and a driving range into the water.

The log cabin that we stayed in must have been 15 years old, but was very well equiped (included washing machine/dryer and tv with inbuilt dvd player).The property itself is largely treed and has a wide abundance of wildlife (we saw countless kangaroos, a couple of goannas and lots of different birds).

Most of the activities at the resort are free including the golf courses, tennis and there is a few bike tracks.

I would recommend this place to people who are keen about golf and/or Australian wildlife.

The only downsides that I saw to Mandeni was that the mobile phone coverage was non existant (you could walk a few hundred metres up a hill to get a signal) and that the nearest shops were either 10... more
