We stayed here for one night on our way to Bairnsdale, Victoria from Sydney. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We experienced their on site restaurant, the food was of high quality and fresh seafood. The presentation of the food was 5 star and the taste, just perfect. This restaurant would put some Sydney restaurants to shame. The view from... More

We expected a basic but nice motel. They impressed us at every turn! As soon as we arrived Jen helped us with our local arrangements for kayak rentals and a tour to nearby Montague island. When we wandered home late to find the restaurant closed, they put together a delicious local cheese platter and some homemade ice cream - Scrumptious!... More

So I booked this place based on the good reviews for the restaurant and in one word WOW! After a long day of work and travel I booked in with whom I assume was the owner. She was friendly and polite. As I travel a lot for work the quality of the room does not matter too much as long... More

We stayed here for one night on our way down the south coast. We booked the spa room and were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived! The room was huge and was more like a one bedroom apartment rather then a hotel room. Everything was clean and modern and the balcony views were fantastic. The morning of check out we... More

Food was delivered to our room without a lid on the plates in the cold, guest by who, the chef himself , and when asked about it he replied "The food will look like crap if covered" More

Driving back from Melbourne just after New Year, we had pre-booked 2 days at the Whale Motor Inn as Narooma was suggested as a good stopover. We weren't disappointed. Our room on the 2nd level was and executive suite and was a very good choice. Newly renovated, it had a spacious hallway off of which was a decent bathroom with... More

Our room was comfortable and clean - not fantastic, but average and decent enough for our requirements. Staff were nice and friendly. In our booking we requested a cot be set up in our room on arrival however we were disappointed it wasn't there when we arrived and never arrived during our stay, so baby slept in bed with us.... The rooms are a bit old feeling inside but everything seemed to work fine. No frills, just the standard. Quiet. Loved the free internet cable connection in the room. Strongly recommend the hotel just for this fact. I wish all hotels did this and advertised it. They will get my biz any day! Also nice restaurant attached and friendly staff... More

We have stayed at this motel on at least 8 occasions over the past 7 years. During those visits we have stayed in almost all styles of rooms from the unrenovated deluxe rooms, the renovated premier rooms and the renovated deluxe suite. In terms of views to the inlet and the ocean all rooms offer a view although I believe... More
