My husband and I were lucky enough to spend 3 nights at O'Carrollyns. Our cabin was huge, a bedroom, bathroom, living room , well equipped kitchen downstairs and a loft with double bed upstairs. We had no problem with mosquitoes or any other insects. The grounds are really beautiful and you feel like you are vacationing in a bit of... More

We spent 3 nights with the family including 2 young kids aged 4 and 16 month old between Xmas and NYE. Cherrie and Mark were lovely and they work really hard to make their customers happy. We initially stayed for 2 nights but decided to stay for an extra night and were lucky enough as the next people were only... More

We stayed in a family bungalow which could have accommodated about 7 people. The accommodation was fairly clean and tidy when we arrived. They had been busy with a weekend wedding just prior to our arrival on Sunday afternoon. The bathroom was badly designed for disabled people but we managed with the owner supplying a shower chair and a squeegee... More

We chose O'Carrollyns for our weekend away on the basis that they had couples-only cabins that were set away from the other cabins on site and this was during school holidays - so hopefully it would be a bit quieter than at other accommodation choices. On that basis we weren't disappointed. Our cabin was one of two located a small... More

Overall a good stay, park is located in natural bushland setting with private bungalows. The atmosphere is different to most parks in that it is very peaceful and tranquil but can still cater well for couples, families and groups quite well. Although there is not a kids playground there are open areas for kicking the ball around or playing and... More

On a positive note, the owners are very nice and welcoming people. The beach is walking distance too. Personally I found that the property was too insect infested for my liking. There are huge spider webs everywhere that you seem to walk into all the time. Due to the ponds around the resort, the mosquitos are out of control. No... More

The current owners/managers could not care less. They leave the other guests to run riot, playing very loud DOOF DOOF music until 3am!! Even the police was called, but still the managers did not show. A truly spoiled weekend in an otherwise beautiful Port Stephens. I can't believe these people still have a license to run this place.

It is very harsh for people staying at a different resort to say the owners "could not care less". Our resort was booked out for an 80th Birthday party with a majority of the guests being elderly and family members. The 80th Birthday party closed down at 1am. During the same night there was an 18th Birthday Party at a... More

This is our third say at O'Carrollyns and our youngest kids now 4 and 6 love it here, the older at 13 would prefer something different. As with all holiday accommodation, the success depends upon how it matches your requirements. The property is beautifully set out and the grounds quite beautiful being centered around a large pond. For us the... More
