Our room was very spacious, the inn's surrounds are lovely and although the restaurant was closed the staff were very accommodating, taking both our room service order and our breakfast order although we were 20 minutes past the deadline for both. Sir Francis Drake is an exceptionally reliable option.

Stayed here for one night. Drive-in feeling with a key collection from the hotel lobby and then car parking just in front of your room which is very convenient for luggage. If the owners of this place put as much effort into the rooms as they do into maintaining the fantastic gardens, then the rooms might actually be reasonable. Although the rooms are large, nothing has been updated since 1984 (probably). Worst pillows in history. It's a used, noisy, grotty, overpriced motel. A probable location for an equally dirty night!
