My girlfriend and I had a great time staying at the Stebbins-Swayne house. The house is kept in perfect condition. It's very inviting and cozy. The room we stayed in (Cottage Room) was very nice. There's a little closet for your things, a sitting area and a nice, comfortable bed. The bathroom is just outside the room in a little... more

My husband and i stayed here for an evening when we attended the annual vinters dinner at Longwood Gardens. The innkeeper could not have been more accomodating and gracious. She asked us when it was convenient for *us* to check in, then she waived the 2 night minimum rule, then she offered to drive us to and from the dinner... more

I stayed here for a quick one night getaway with my fiance for her birthday weekend. It was a wonderful little place! We live in Philly, and wanted to get away from the city for a change and enjoy the country. The rooms were great, the house was quiet, peaceful, a short walk to downtown but away from all commotion.... more

This beautiful B&B was warm and welcoming. The house was decorated for Christmas and looked fantastic. Our room was spacious and cozy. The innkeeper was absolutely terrific, very warm and friendly without being overbearing. Her breakfast was great, including homemade muffins, fritata and sauteed bananas. One of the regions best restaurants, Talula's Table is one block away and the main... more

We had a delightful stay at Stebbins-Swayne during our "Mother-daughters" trip in August. Rosemary was a very gracious host and very good cook. She provided great information about area attractions/restaurants and make a very yummy breakfast, although it was a little on the small side (good size for us, but I could see how a man would leave a little... more

We didn't want to leave! This cozy home-away-from-home was just perfect for a weekend get away. It's within a 5-min walking distance from adorable little shops and excellent restaurants in Kennett Square and is near the beautiful Longwood Gardens and lots of other wonderful sites. Rosemary was most gracious and welcoming -- and we're still talking about her 5-star breakfast!... more

The Stebbins-Swayne B&B is top notch. It's only a couple blocks from the Kennett Square shops, but away from the noise of traffic driving by. A very short drive to the local wineries, Longwoods Gardens, and Winterthur, makes it an ideal location to explore the area. The house is beautiful and rooms were clean, comfortable, and as shown on the... more

My fiancee and I stayed at the Stebbins-Swayne B&B last Memorial Day (2007) and had a fantastic experience. Rosemary, the proprietress, was lovely and had great suggestions for places off-the-beaten track (such as the delicious Mexican ice cream parlor just blocks away). The house is gorgeous and only steps from the historic main street in Kennett Square. We were also... more

This is a great bed and breakfast! We stayed in the Cottage Room although in retrospect the Empire Room would have been better if only for the claw foot tub! The rooms were impeccably clean and well kept. Amenities were sparse but at least the bath robes were incredibly soft. Also expect to hear a lot of creaking noises that... more

My boyfriend and I just spent a wonderful weekend at the Stebbins-Swayne B&B. The owner, Rosemary, was so accomodating. She made a scrumptious breakfast both mornings of our stay. Our room was comfortable and inviting. The house is tastefully decorated and the property is in a fantastic location. It's on a quiet, tree lined street a block away from the... more
