My husband and I are empty nesters, and had a great experience at the Howard Johnsons in Lancaster ,PA. The rooms were quiet, the sound proofing worked as there were a lot of rugrats around.... Howard Johnson for what we needed filled the bill. It was clean, located in a safe area, convinient to food, attractions and rt.30. They price their rooms compared to the other hotels in the area. That being said I still can not justify the HoJo rooms being $90+ per night. Word to the wise always choose a 2 bedroom queen... more

The hotel is an older hotel, but clean. The addition of the water park would be an attraction if you are traveling with children. We did not get up in time for breakfast, there are plenty of choices nearby. Stay here, you won't be sorry. Just don't expect the Ritz Carlton (nor will you pay for the Ritz) more
