Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Front desk customer service was absolutely disgusting and smelled terrible. The woman was very rude and unhelpful when I tried to book a room in person. When I finally walked into my room and it smelled like cigarettes she said quote “Sorry you can’t afford something nicer.” Never come here

If your looking for a budget friendly place to stay this is it. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was nice large and clean as well. My only issue was that the tv seemed to be sporadicly working. I am one of those that can’t sleep without it on and it seems they shut off the reception in the rooms. It is a small complaint but it was somewhat surprising to not be able to access the weather in the morning. The traffic on the road outside seemed light during the evenings but by 6 am it was quite loud. If your a solo traveller it’s not a bad place to lay your head down for a night

The room was large and clean. For the most part, the, staff was helpful. It was very quiet and not far from food, shopping, etc. A good place to stay that is off the highway. I met some nice people, there.

If you're looking for accommodations similar to a Hilton, Comfort Inn, or even a Days Inn, move on. If you're looking for a clean room on a budget and aren't particular if the furnishings are new, you have velvety and plush towels, or even a garden tub, then you've found a good place. I stayed here for work and got a king room. The bed's a bit firm, but comfortable. I prefer flatter pillows, so this place was great. The bathroom is on the smallish side with a tile shower, but it's clean. There is DirecTV on a 24" flatscreen. WiFi is very good; fast and never was dropped once. There's a small fridge and coffee maker in the room as well. Now my room was a little drafty by the door but that's not a big deal to me even though it was cold out for most of my stay. Like dogtired2010 said, there are workarounds. I also want to add that the owner is very friendly and accommodating. She even took my laundry to the local cleaners for me since I never got back to the room before closing time. You just don't see people like that very often and it's little things like that which make you remember a place. All in all it's a gem that's a little rough around the edges, but is worth it if you can look past any cosmetic hangups you might have. Also, if you don't mind being in a more rural/small town setting, you'll probably like this place. If I'm in the area again for work, this place is the first one I will call. I have even recommended it to a couple of my colleagues.

its a older motel but the owners seem to want to keep it up as they live on site and are friendly and helpful. prices were great. room comfortable if a bit dated but the furniture looked all new and the king bed was very comfortable. my only concern was a all night party in the other building by what seemed to be full time residents, im surprised other guests in that building who were woke up in the early am did not complain. over all a nice clean place in farm country but convient to every thing and i will stay there again

my family and i have used the meldor motel for over 15 years while visiting friends in the boyertown area....in the past, the rooms were not fancy, but always well kept, clean and comfortable...last time we stayed two years ago, they were getting a little run down, but...when we needed to stay again this past wkend, figured we would be okay...its budget host now, should be okay, right??!!? NOT! the room upon check in was filthy....toliet looked like it had not been cleaned after someone had been very sick..... floors were scum dirty...walls ... mirrors, everything was a disgrace...i dont mind the rusty tissue holder..but when it looks like feces and goodness knows what else on walls, pictures and light switches...cigarette burns in the bedspreads and blankets.... if the owners read this, and i did let them know we were very unhappy, please.....dont disgrace a quaint, awesome town like the boyertown area by letting the motel get any worse....get a serious cleaning crew in there....on the positive, so far no bedbugs...

Not on all the big sites but the best value near Barto/Pottstown. Outside Corridors accomodated my elderly dog nicely plus nearby grass for dog-walking. Reasonable pet fee (10). Clean comfortable room. Sure I could find lots wrong with it and give it a terrible review for stupid reasons like the tissue dispenser was rusty, the ceiling had been repaired or there were no instructions for the Direct TV, they give you only soap and shampoo, no overhead lights....but all are either unimportant in the grand scheme, or there were workarounds. A friend stayed here and also liked it. Convenient to Route 100 and close to Boyertown. Gas, convenience store and cheesesteak shop half mile south a plus. Rustler2010's review was accurate and helpful. Nice shower - fine but powerful mist.
