Walk to all the hot spots (we recommend Havana, outside.) This B&B has charm and class. We will definitely visit again. All the little touches were not lost on us. Owners and manager Josh take time, pleasure, and care to make this stay an experience that is special.

It was the perfect venue for a reunion of four girlfriends who've known each other since grade school. The BnB is a compound made up of different cottages with whimsical names like Wisteria. Your shoulders relax and feel embraced the moment you pull into the gravel driveway. Parking is ample by the way. No need to parallel park! Our accommodations were in the main house decorated with a diverse collection of Orientalia and Americana reflecting the owner's extensive travel history. We each had a room (with its own private bath) in the main house. The rooms were generous yet cozy and very well appointed, with views of the Delaware Canal. Two of the rooms had 4-poster beds! We loved its central location and could walk everywhere. The proprietor, Lisa, was a wonderful host. Her breakfast of quiche made in a muffin tin was delicious as it was brilliant.…

what a great place the staff could not have been any nicer. beautiful clean rooms all with a door to the porches. it was nice to sit and enjoy the view from the many sitting areas. we can't wait for our next visit in the spring so we can see what the garden areas look like in bloom, the breakfast was great, they even sent us a text letting us know our room was ready early and we checked in before noon. there were muffins and coffee available and rooms had a coffee maker.

Stayed here with a team of 6 while bikepacking the D&L Trail. Incredible convenient location right off of the trail (literally). Great cottages and rooms. Very comfy and nicely decorated. Very convenient SHORT walk to shopping and restaurants in downtown New Hope. Bath room was amazing. Highly recommend and will return. Sadly we had to leave early and could not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast on checkout day.

My wife and whole family just stayed at Porches for the week of my wedding! (We got married in New Hope, just about a five minute walk away). Our whole experience with Porches was magical. It felt like we were transported in time, back 50 years, when places really cared about their customers and wanted to develop relationships - not just get people in and out and make a quick buck. Lisa and Bob who run the place are the best. They know you by name, cook delicious breakfast, and go above and beyond to take care of you for your whole stay. They even offered to pick us up deodorant at the grocery story while we were out doing wedding venue prep one day. Like I said, it was totally surreal. I've never truly stayed at a place where I felt like I mattered in this way. We left out stay feeling like truly good friends with the B&B owners, how cool is that? Logistically - the location couldn't be better. 5 min walk from everywhere in New Hope, and a 10-12 minute walk from anywhere in Lambertville just across the bridge. The rooms are quirky and filled with personality - but the beds are comfortable and we slept like a couple of rocks the whole time. And the food for breakfast is absolutely delicious - like 5-star meals. And then of course the atmosphere of the porches, the gardens, the whole vibe is so peaceful and beautiful. This is a true GEM. Highly recommend. It's worth staying here verses a chain hotel. This will become part of your whole vacation experience. Loved them and cannot WAIT to return, hopefully next year!…

We 3 women friends meet somewhere each year, and our stay at Porches at Towpath was wonderful and memorable. The breakfasts, prepared by the proprietor/chef, were creative, delicious, and plentiful, and were served on the main lodge comfortable porch by the small group of friendly, efficient staff as luxurious starts to the vacation getaway days. We had adjoining rooms (2 in one with 2 ample beds, 1 in another with a queen bed) that were both well-appointed, generous sizes, and nice mixes of period furnishings and modern baths. The beds required no away-from-home adjustments: We all agreed they were maximally comfortable. We did without daily housekeeping that may have been available upon request. Temperature control was great and appreciated in the September heat wave. The Inn is in a perfectly situated central location, walkable to everything in New Hope, including the Bucks Co. Playhouse, though off the beaten track down a short, safe alley from the main drag, and on the towpath.…

We were going to a wedding in New Hope and decided to stay in Porches on the Towpath for 4 nights. We were coming from Ireland and had no idea where New Hope was or what to expect. We were absolutely over the moon when we arrived. We drove from Newark Airport and arrived pretty late. The keys were left for us pinned to a wall which we found really fantastic. The room number was on the envelope and directions to it. A perfect start to our few days here. The Porches is located in a great spot. So close to everything. You can walk everywhere from this perfect location. We got to meet Lisa, the owner. who trained in one of Ireland's famous Cookery Schools and Bob the next morning. They are so welcoming and make your stay so special. The breakfast is second to none with absolutely everything homemade and straight from the oven. Such a treat. We would most definitely recommend staying here. We are not from the USA so it will be difficult for us to return but we would highly recommend anyone who would be considering a weekend break in New Hope should definitely give the Porches a visit. You won't be disappointed. It is the quaintest B&B you will ever have the opportunity to visit. Lisa also owns the Aaron Burr B&B in New Hope. We are big fans of the musical Hamilton and would be very familiar with Aaron Burr so it was fantastic to be invited to visit this house and be given a tour by Ricardo who was so welcoming and informative. We truly enjoyed our visit here as well. Thank you Lisa and Bob for a most enjoyable 4 night stay in your amazing B&B…

my fiancé and i stayed here for two nights and it was so so lovely. our room was beautiful, it had that special kind of personality that older buildings hold, with some modern upgrades. the breakfast each morning is delicious, no doubt made with love ❣️ the location can’t be beat if you’re there to visit all the shops in town as well.

We stayed 2 nights at the Porches while attending a wedding in New Hope and we couldn't of been more pleasantly surprised since reasonably priced places to stay are usually a "get what you pay for" event. Think of a large old house with narrow hallways and small rooms but very charming. It's pretty much exactly as described on the site. I was a little worried having a common porch right outside the rooms but it's furnished so that there's an implied area for each room and I didn't notice that the porch was some huge hang in fact it was super quiet and the tow Path is used for walking and wasn't crowded or noisy. Lisa and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. They do a great job with upkeep and cleaning. Breakfast was amazing, everything is homemade and the staff will go out of their way to accommodate any diet. If you like this type of charm you will love this place. I'm going back for sure.…

There are so many things to say good and bad. On the good side, the property is charming, located right on a canal and a stone's throw from the Delaware River and Lambertville, NJ, the staff are friendly, and there is a fantastic wrap around porch. On the down side there is considerable quirkiness. We arrived in the late afternoon which was "after hours" so we were left the keys to the room in a convenient location. The room was not locked, and the toilet had either been used or not cleaned, which was not appealing obviously. We were tired so didn't get in touch with the owner and dealt with it ourselves. Other quirkiness is that everything is wide open -- the kitchen, the laundry room. This struck me as odd with no staff there and certainly vulnerable to health issues perhaps(?). All in all, we would stay here again given the charm and location.…
