I have stayed here a least a dozen times over the past decade - business and pleasure. Great rooms & Great Service - each and every single time. I have been a business traveler for over (30) years........and I have absolutely no idea what some of these (few) bad reviewers are talking about ?? My wife, my client, my daughter,... more

**STAYED ON JANUARY 27-28, 2010 (a wednesday night) room 733** We had to go to pittsburgh spur of the moment for a funeral- it would be our first hotel stay with our 3.5 month old. I was nervous about traveling with baby, and as nervous b/c AFTER booking a "3-star in the oakland section of pittsburgh" through hotwire, where you... more

Checked in to a room that smelled horrible and was moved at 11 pm to another room which was a little dated but clean, then was told we had to change rooms again for the next 2 nights stay. Parking was $18 a night and the swiper card did not work most of the time. The noise level increased about... more

The hotel needed some updating. It's nothing fancy. The other drawback was that the walls were VERY thin so much as you could hear word for word conversations from the room next to you. Also you could literally hear your neighbors going to the bathroom. Other than this it was not a bad place. It served it's purpose. more

This is the perfect hotel to stay in if you want the following: a coffee maker that overflows; tiles falling off the wall in the bathroom, maid service that doesn't appear on a day while you're there. Add to that, mis-matched curtains that don't provide full coverage, a heating/cooling system that is either too cold or too hot, overpriced parking,... more

I stayed at this hotel recently for an event I was attending in Pittsburgh and it really was just a disappointment. I will say the rooms were clean and large but nothing special (although I wasn't expecting anything special). There is a $10 charge for parking in their extremely small parking lot where they only put the larger cars that... more

We tried to stay at this hotel before when we were visiting the Pitt campus with our daughter when she was college shopping. We found that the prices are inflated during those times were there will be visits to campus. We are Priority Club members and we had a free room nite to use so we were able to book... more

If you REALLY read the reviews, though they 'grade' the property high, within the writing overview you WILL note MANY 'poor qualities' of the hotel and they ARE all valid. I stayed there for almost one week the week of the G20 (and got out-of-town JUST in time). It was NOT a pleasant property to stay at and I would... more

The sheets were dirty, the elevators slower than a turtle, and it took nearly 15 minutes for me to buy a bottle of water from a vending machine. This hotel is nothing special at all. more
