I stayed at this hotel recently for an event I was attending in Pittsburgh and it really was just a disappointment. I will say the rooms were clean and large but nothing special (although I wasn't expecting anything special). There is a $10 charge for parking in their extremely small parking lot where they only put the larger cars that... more

We tried to stay at this hotel before when we were visiting the Pitt campus with our daughter when she was college shopping. We found that the prices are inflated during those times were there will be visits to campus. We are Priority Club members and we had a free room nite to use so we were able to book... more

If you REALLY read the reviews, though they 'grade' the property high, within the writing overview you WILL note MANY 'poor qualities' of the hotel and they ARE all valid. I stayed there for almost one week the week of the G20 (and got out-of-town JUST in time). It was NOT a pleasant property to stay at and I would... more

The sheets were dirty, the elevators slower than a turtle, and it took nearly 15 minutes for me to buy a bottle of water from a vending machine. This hotel is nothing special at all. more

Check in was a breeze and the room was nice and spacious. Everything was clean. You can avoid the $18 per day parking fee by parking on the street a block or 2 away. The walls in the room are paper thin so you can hear conversations next door prettty clearly. If you put on the heat or A/C that... more

Great location, was walking distance to my training center and close to public transportation. Nice restaurant, good live music, but found it faster to take the stairwell during peak times since only one of the 2 elevators was in service during my stay. more

No problems-found onstreet parking without a problem. Short drive to downtown. Room was very clean except for batch of mold in corner of tub. I thought it was odd since everything was very clean and that one spot was neglected. more

This is a typical Holiday Inn - nice size room, clean, quiet, with no surprises. The major benefit of the hotel is the location, walking distance from Pitt and CMU, restaurants and museums. The free shuttle bus (3 mile radius) is is a nice perk. It's 30 yards from the hotel to the airport bus stop ($2.60 to the airport).... more

We arrived at 9pm, tired after a long drive only to find out the hotel was overbooked and we had been moved to a dump 23 minutes out of town. The fact that the Holiday Inn picked up the tab gives you an idea of how bad the new hotel was. Moreover, if I had not had a GPS unit,... more
