Note that this is now the Days Inn. Stayed here after being stranded by weather at the Philly Airport. US Air gave us a "distressed traveler" letter to use for a reduced rate--$77). The room was fine--clean and roomy enough. It has outside entrances facing the parking lot. I asked my wife if she would stay here by herself and... more

I'm baffled by some of the negative reviews of this hotel. We stayed overnight on our journey back home and thought it was good value for money, especially considering the rates for most of the airport and other hotels in the Philadelphia area. The shuttle service was there to collect us from the airport within 20 minutes, the staff were... more

The staff here is the rudest, least helpful, unprofessional we have just about ever met. Simply put stay home, or in the street if you have to! Room dirty, dingy, loud. Never again! more

We would welcome and be happy to show our rooms to any guest before they decided to stay at our hotel. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We are proud of our hotel and its staff. We work hard everyday trying to improve as do most good hotels, and again we are proud of the service and rooms we...

I made reservations here through the 1-800# (central reservaions?) provided at the Howard Johnson website. The website did not show the maximum capacity for rooms as did other hotel websites. So I called the # and the representative told me that a roll away bed could be placed in a room with 2 double beds. Based on that, the price,... more

First thing in the morning on the date of arrival it was found that there was a request for rollaways to be put into 2 sleeping rooms with 2 double size beds, which we are not able to fit in those rooms. As a result of that we called the number provided on the reservation and did leave a message...

What a great place to stay, for a great price! My husband, baby and I stayed here for three nights and were very pleased. It's a convenient location and everything's very new and clean. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. It was our first stay at a Hojo and we were pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend this motel... more

I work for a company in the hospitality business - so I've become very picky about the quality of restaurant visits and hotel stays. The Howard Johnson in Springfield? One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! The staff? Friendly and helpful! Knowledgeable about the area. Did I say friendly??? Location? Not on "airport row" but close enough to... more

The restaurant on the premises (probably an old HoJo's, now independently owned) has a party room with a terrace that encroaches on the motel's sleeping units. If you love to listen to party-goers having the time of their lives at one o'clock in the morning, this is the motel for you! BTW, don't bother calling the front desk -- they... more

Our hotel is attached to a restaurant (it is not an old Hojo's) that is independently owned and operated. They do have banquet facilities where various types of events are held. We would encourage any guest who has any issues with noise to please call the front desk immediately so that we can address it, either with individuals or with...

My in-laws live in nearby Media, PA and I've stayed at this Ho-Jo three times, so far, this year!! There is a restaurant associated with this hotel but I have not yet tried it because most Mothers-in-law love to cook!! Mine does!! Anyway, this is a close, clean, friendly hotel that I have been very satisfied with. I've stayed here... more

Our two-night stay was perfectly adequate. Everything was clean and the lights and plumbing all worked. Free parking outside the room, and ice and vending machines provide the only refreshment. It is easy to forget that 30 years ago nearly all motels were like this. We now expect a TV screen that welcomes us by name on arrival, fluffy bathrobes... more

While our hotel does not offer breakfast services the restaurant next door is open at 8 am for breakfast (This is the first time I have heard of it not being open at that time, but it is not ours so we cannot control it) there is also a Denny's, IHOP, and several chain restaurants within 1 ½ miles of...

Well, c'mon -- it's a HoJo, on a busy highway in a strip-mall area, where a room cost $89/night. If you're expecting the Ritz-Carlton, that's not a reasonable expectation... We chose this place because Swarthmore College's admission office said it was the closest hotel. We stayed here for one night during a two-night stay, and it was pretty much what... more
