This is the second time that I've stayed here, and I'm not disappointed that I did. Reservations were made by phone seamlessly. The friendly staff advised that I stay on the third floor away from the dogs on the first floor because of my allergies and that was very helpful. The room was very clean and neat. I used to stay at the facility when it was with another chain. The rate has gone up a little since the switch to Quality Inn but the added amenities are very nice and made my stay more pleasant. Still a good value. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably clean. Staff is courteous and helpful. Will stay again. more
My family and I have been coming up to State College for 18 years. We started staying at this location when it was the Nittany Budget Inn, remodeled into a Motel 6, and now a Quality Inn. The Motel 6 in State College is an excellent value. The only issue we've encountered (and we stay there often) occurs when late check-ins are loud in the hall or kids congregate to celebrate an event. The Motel 6 in State College is a motel with clean, quiet and spacious rooms. Every room has free wireless internet and expanded cable (including HBO). In general, the staff is nice and helpful. The room is very spacious. Beds are small but comfy. The towels, were the worst smelling towels ever. After a shower I went to wipe my face/dry myself off and almost passed out - it smelled like dirty feet. Yuck! Other than that, everything was nice.
