We always stay at the Atherton Hotel just because of the location, but at this point, I'm going to opt to make my reservations at the Nittany Lion Inn or The Penn Stater instead. Reservations such as these made online and confirmed through the web booking engine are confirmed in writing and billed according to the hotel's cancellation policy. The hotel clearly states its cancellation policy online at the time of reservation and again in a confirmation email to the guest.
Stayed in September for a Penn State game. Good hotel in a great location - close to everything. Hotel room was comfortable and clean. Front desk was responsive at check in, check out, and during requests we made in between. more

My most sincere apologies for any tone of voice or sentiment by my staff that was less than appropriate. The Atherton Hotel provides free, on-site covered parking to guests. The Atherton Hotel does firmly enforce the No Smoking policy and charge a fee for room recovery back to non-smoking status.
