the dutch treat motel located in strasburgh pa, in the heart of the amish country is a typical country roadside motel. with that said, i found it to be very clean, old fashioned and pretty quiet. the owners here take pride in there motel. of course it needs updating but believe it or not the way it is now just... more

This is my second time to this great motel a year to the day! This motel is family owned and operated but it is unlike the "motel chains" or other family owned motels that are in this area. Don't get me wrong, I have stayed at other family owned motels down here but they do not compare to the cleanliness,... more

My elderly Mother and I planned a trip to the area as we like to take little getaway trips. We looked on line and found the Dutch Treat Motel. We didn't know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. We knew it was going to be a small motel without the amenities of the larger chains. What we didn't... more

I would just like to send a little note to the general public, that I have stayed at the Dutchtreat Motel, many times. It has always been a pleasurable stay. So very convenient to many locations to visit. The concern from our host is always polite and concerned about our comfort. I hope all the readers will get a chance... more

We've been coming to the area for the last 20 years and have stayed at a number of hotels/B&B's - some good, some not so good (the great majority of the latter since defunct); unfortunately, this one would have to be counted among the not-so-good. Overall, I'd have to agree with applesauce and workingmom in terms of our observations and... more

We stayed there in 2006 and enjoyed it. Rooms were cheaper than the going rate. Room was clean with a nice view. The grounds were well taken care of. Pool was nice after a long day. The breakfast we skipped as it was fair but very basic. Owners are nice. Sitting in the gazebo with a glass of wine added... more

We found this hotel online and called to book for our trip. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. It is VERY old and musty smelling. I am glad I brought my own Lysol and Febreeze !!! The air conditioning was OK but I am glad I brought a fan. The pool was refreshing... But we will... more

The positive points: It apears to be a family owned hotel. The staff was very friendly, ready to help with their imeadiate resources. We had a little problem trying to connect to the internet and they quickly responded and checked the system for problems (it turned out to be my old computer not playing nice with their new wireless system)... more

This motel was very nice, very close to the outlets and most major attractions. The rooms decor is a bit outdated, but very clean and comfortable. Each room had a fridge, which was nice. Owners were very friendly and appreciative of our patronage. Rooms rates were very reasonable also. Plenty of parking and easy to get in/out of the motel's... more

We stayed one night at the Dutch Treat Motel as it was right across the street from the Sight and Sound Theater. The room was small but very clean and there is parking right in front of your room and the room also has a very small fridge. You could walk across the street (can be very busy at times)... more
