We contacted this property directly because we are moving out of a studio apartment and need somewhere to stay while we put our belongings in storage (until our 1 bedroom apartment is ready for move-in)....right next door to us is Antonio's Motel and Italian Restaurant, but even though they are cheaper they did not have any 'non-smoking' rooms available, so we paid $370 for a week here. At first glance, the room is 'ok' as far as size, the television, towels, clean bathroom, etc., all seemed okay, and when we requested no room service until the weekend, that seemed okay, too, until we realized that NOBODY understands English in the office. We would love it if when we say 'no room service,' they actually did not KNOCK LOUDLY on our door EVERY DAY, many times a day, to offer 'SERVICE' and then, when we are not in the room, they leave an envelope for 'tips??' isn't $370 a week (microtel is $500 a week, and is WORTH the price difference) for a roadside motel without internet, without... more
