My wife and I are both in our 60s and are fussy people. We have traveled all over Europe and Asia. We were in the West Chester area last week (early May, 2009) for a family funeral and chose the Sentinel for four nights because of its reasonable pricing ($60 at that time). Most of the other motels in the area are over $100. West Chester is a very high-cost area.
Hard times… stay here and save more than enough to treat yourself at fancy local restaurants. We read the negative reviews but tried it and were very satisfied.. My wife would have moved us out in a minute if the place had not been OK. The young couple that manage the place speak very good English and are very accommodating. This is a classic 1940s motel that has many newly renovated rooms, large with satellite TV and fridge and microwave. Specify room #12 (no smoke smell - recently renovated).
