This hotel is neither romantic nor charming, in fact it is a disaster. First, it is dirty. I was all here for my cousins wedding and had a total of six rooms for four nights. everything was perfect, great location and price was about the best it gets for a Inn like this. staff was awesome, the beach also great, mall down the street, everything was perfect, thank you i am coming back for Thanksgiving. more

Had high hopes for the Blue Dory based on other traveler reviews, but it was disappointing overall. The staff was friendly enough but the inn is stuffy and over-decorated in a cheesy, gaudy interpretation of "Victorian". The 5:30 snack hour is over-rated too. The Blue Dory was nice, but we enjoyed the porch and view from their other property "Avonlea" (just down the beach) so much more. The "Avonlea" has been renovated and has nice, clean colors with central a/c. (The Blue Dory uses room a/c in the bedrooms upon request.)
