The restaurant is a gem. Great food. The hotel section, however, needs some heavy renovation. Start with new beds. Old, old, old. Great location though. Helpful staff. More

We made a mistake in our travel planning and had to stay here for one night until our long-term accommodations were ready. While the location is great and I've had plenty of fun having drinks at sunset on the porch of this hotel, this place is a real disappointment to stay at. It's like no one cares. The furnishings are... More

My husband and I ended up staying at the Narragansett for four nights due to our teeny apartment rental getting a bit overloaded by our teenager's friends and then by our son and friend! It turned out great. We have been renting houses on Block Island for 20 years and have never stayed several days at an inn there. The... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Narragansett Inn from July 17-19th, having searched for a place in a good location that could fit into our budget. The Narragansett is a very barebones establishment, so those looking for luxurious accommodations are coming to the wrong place. Having arrived via the Montauk ferry and landing in old harbor, we found the... More

What not to love your about 1 to 2 miles away from downtown we actually walked there twice. Our room was nice and clean nothing like those awful photos posted here. It was like a cottage not in the main Inn. I didn't miss the a/c because it gets kind of cool at night. The food was great the free... More

The Narragansett Inn is a very fine hotel and is undergoing updates and improvements. The hotel owners resumed control of the complex in 2010, and you can tell by the happy faces of the staff that things are coming around. The cheapest rooms are $95; huge bargain on Block Island and you should take advantage! The staff are friendly and... More

Everyone was very friendly - the room was simple & clean all you need on Block Island as you don't spend too much time there. I was a little apprehensive about the shared bathroom situtation but they were well maintained day & night. The location was great not directly in hustle and bustle but not a far walk from anything... More

The Mott family has owned this property for decades and is now running and managing the Inn themselves. The rooms are all super clean with new linens. It is still a historic and rustic Inn, and is a great Block Island experience. More

Let's begin with the three weeks it took to make the reservation. Poor, poor service from the beginning. Read the reviews - head the warnings! The room(s) were sickening. Everything was filthy. The kids did NOT want to stay! Every bed had a dirty bedspread - we covered our pillows with sweaters and slept in our clothes - The curtain... More
