Sadly, this B and B has gone out of business. I have stayed in the past and enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately the owners have retired and this wonderful home is now a private residence. More

After much research, planning and Trip Advisor Review reading for our one and only Beaufort visit, I selected the Old Point Inn - and The Old World Room specifically - as the preferred choice. Six weeks prior to arrival I phoned and spoke with Owner Paul to consider various dates for that Room to be available. He confirmed our Reservation... More

My family and I visit Beaufort regularly to see my father, and the Old Point Inn is by far the nicest of the inns in town, or indeed any town. The small inn is located in Beaufort's handsome historic district, a walk to downtown, and I've stayed there easily a dozen times, most recently last weekend. While there, I enjoy... More

I agree with the review of May 14th. The place lacks warmth. That being said, it is by far the best location on Beaufort; it is very clean, quiet, beautiful and well priced. If you ask, they have loaner bikes and beach chairs--but you do need to ask, and I think this is part of that distant feeling that the... More

We stayed with friends at the Old Point Inn. The location was terrific, the breakfast was very good, and the decor, rooms and especially outdoor porches were fine. However, there was a distinct lack of warmth compared to almost every other bed and breakfast at which I have stayed. Service and advice about Beaufort were fine, but not enthusiastic-especially the... More

For us, the outstanding feature of the Old Point Inn was the warm welcome and the personal hospitality delivered by the owners Paul and Julie Michau. Upon our too-early arrival at the Inn, we were invited by Julie to leave our luggage there; and then, learning of our afternoon plans, she provided us with maps, directions, en-route restaurant information and... Have you ever spent the night in a museum? Surrounded by wonderful artifacts, the rooms at the Old Point Inn are incredible. The owners, Paul and Julie could not be more accommodating. We have stayed at many B & B's, but this might be the best ever. More

Wonderful place to stay. The inn is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Paul and Julie were great hosts and served a wonderful breakfast. Dining choices were literaly a couple of hundred feet away. More

If you wanted to choose the best position to establish a bed and breakfast in Beaufort, you would choose the spot occupied by the Old Point Inn. Right in the Old Point district of Beaufort, where glorious antebellum houses vie with each other for beauty, but literally one minute walk from Bay Street and the river, the inn has a... More

I loved my stay at the Old Point Inn. We were scheduled to stay three nights but had to cut it short due to a death in the family and Julie very graciously offered to refund our nights stay. Not many innkeepers would do that without being asked. I loved the Inn, it is beautiful, full of southern charm, very... More
