From the moment we pulled in to the time we sadly had to depart, the hotel and its staff were wonderful. When we checked in, Monique was pleasant and when I asked if any waterview rooms wwere available she sincerely apologized and informed me that due to the many marriage parties already at the hotel that all the riverview rooms... more

On the whole the hotel was nice. The rooms are kind of small and our view of the highway wasn't very appealing. Unfortunately the shower above our shower would pour with a leak each time someone showered above us. I hope the ceilings over the showers are well enforced because it looks like this leak has existed for quite sometime.... more

We stayed here May 2 to May 4 and had a wonderful time. We arrived around noon and the room was not available yet, but the desk clerk was very pleasant and reccommened a few places for lunch and gave us directions to each and a map. After lunch our room was ready and we were quite pleased. A fairly... more

I stayed Mar 28 thru Mar 30, 2008 in a very clean room and bathroom with a very comfortable king size bed. I had a view of the highway. Sunset on the marina was beautiful. A waffle house a couple of minutes away offered an inexpensive, great breakfast. I parked at the Charleston Place Hotel Parking Garage on Meeting Street... more

Hotel is in attractive location next to a marina. Free parking; about five minutes drive to downtown Charleston. (Would be difficult to walk the distance given hotel’s site right off major roadway.) Outdoor space more charming than room, with sitting area and lovely landscaping. Room itself was clean and nice but rather cramped, especially the sink area with no space... more

I did not care for the design of the main entrance. You had a choice of going up an elevator, which took FOREVER, or going up a flight of stairs to the second floor. Once there you had to walk outside, down a hallway, THEN into the main entrance to the receptionist. After a long day of travels, it seemed... more

Very Nice Hotel, the view from the hotel is wonderful. The staff was top notch and rooms were very nice. Would highly recommend this to anyone. I could go on and on about how much I liked this hotel, but I think what said was enough. Nothing bad at all about it, Loved it. more

We expected more. We booked through the 800 Marriott number, and were assured they had a harbor view. But when we arrived, put on the highway side. They did put us to the "marsh view" side where the highway was futher away. The hotel is bordered by multiple highways on two sides. Rooms are small! Fair amount of creaking and... more

Hotel was clean, parking free, and staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of marina... BUT this hotel is WAY overpriced! (1) King bed with sofa couch, no fridge, no M-wave, only two towels, remote did not work. It is not worth the $210 a night price. sorry...will not stay there again at the price. Sign of the times? more

I've stayed at a few Courtyards and this is by far the nicest. Very very nice common areas and spacious rooms. Free wireless. Good (and reasonably priced) breakfast. Nice location close to downtown area. Free parking. Good value in Charleston. more
