Look elsewhere! We stayed at this hotel and discovered that our room had gnats. We arrived late in the evening, went out to dinner, came back and went to bed. We woke up the next morning and noticed tiny bugs in the room. When we complained, all the hotel did was give us a $50 reimbursement. They claimed that since... more

Great location a few minutes north of the battery and slightly west of the water. 1 minute walk to the covered market. No free internet access in the rooms but is available in the lobby or close to it. Breakfast buffet was fine. Rooms were OK and were not noisy in spite of being at street level. more

The location of this hotel is outstanding for any tourist visiting Charleston. You are directly across from all of the carriage tours, next door to the market and close to all of the bars and restaurants. The service we got from the front desk and hotel manager were great. We got upgraded without requesting anything. And, as always, the warm... more

Went here for an anniversary weekend. The location was absolutely perfect, as it was right in the heart of the downtown area, across the street from many different restaurants and shops and right next to the marketplace. You were within walking distance of most any "touristy" things your heart desired. The room itself was very nice, although I had a... more

I visited Charleston for the first time on this business trip in early May. The hotel was perfectly located for my regular ambling around a new town/city. The entrance was a bit confusing with just a non descript narrrow doorway with no handles, however, inside it was grand. The check-in process was quick and smooth with a wonderful warm cookie.... more

We stayed for 4 days in May on a girls vacation. The hotel's location was perfect for a walking tour of Charleston. Charleston is easy to navigate walking. We used the valet; in hindsight we would have used public parking. The valet was expensive considering how little driving we did. The valets walked around with their hands out which made... more

I booked this hotel through priceline.com for $75 for one night pre Cruise. We arrived around 8:00pm and it was very congested around the hotel and had a hard time finding a place to park and unload our luggage. Valet was very friendly at drop off, but the next morning it took almost and hour for them to bring our... more

Prior to our arrival, we had reserved a large king suite, non-smoking, which was to include a wet bar with microwave, individual heat/cooling system, and sweet dreams bedding system. Our two-story townhouse unit was furnished with a pull-out couch on the ground floor, and a wet bar with a refrigerator and no microwave, and a media amoire with a 19"... more

We loved the location of this hotel - right in the center of the Charleston Historic District. However, the suites were ill-designed. The bath was tiny, they should have taken space from the front room! You could hardly reach the hair dryer or electrical outlet because the toilet was in the way. This hotel is normally pretty expensive, but since... more

Room wasn't ready, staff was unprepared for check-in, valet parking cannot accommodate more than 2 cars at a time. The rooms were horrible. No waters in the room, in a King Suite there was NO HAIRDRYER. The light above the sink did not work so the maintenance man plugged a lamp in right on the sink top which was extremely... more
