We spent two nights at the Charleston Days Inn and were delighted by the EXCELLENT location, We walked everywhere!! Many fantastic restaurants were within a few blocks...The staff was very helpful & knowledgeable. Carriages could be hailed at the front ot the motel. We saw so much of Charleston! We will return to this motel. The property was older and... More

Excellent value, staff was knowledgable and helpful, gave directions which were easy to understand. Rooms were clean and the location was close to everything. Would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget. They even had arrangements with a nearby parking garage if their lot was full. Would stay there again. mary ann More

It is less expensive than other downtown properties for a reason. Did not sleep at all - room was literally right on a noisy busy street with traffic zooming by all night. Staff was completely uninterested, cold and barely made eye contact at check in and check out! Bathroom fixtures were falling off the wall. Not worth the $150!! More

Okay, so I was really worried about this place based on some of the reviews here but I did it anyways and it was worth it! Now not expecting anything out of this place helped because the rooms do show some sings of age but don't let it stop you. The location was AWESOME! And for the money, you can't... More

The best thing about this hotel is the location, but for $100/night, the hotel should be better. Do not stay in room 102 because: 1) tile grout in shower was black (a little bleach would do wonders) & the tub needed a scrubbing, something that hasn't been done in many years -- if ever. 2) Water temperature in the showeer... This hotel is just across the street from the Charleston Market and is very convenient to everything downtown. We were able to walk to virtually all the places we wanted to see except for the Fort Sumter Tour and Aquarium. The price is unbeatable too. Parking is free, but very cramped and many times there were no spaces available; however,... More

We planned a last minute weekend to Charleston, and this hotel was the only one left in our price range. With the AAA discount and taxes, it came to $120 a night. I suppose for the location, the price was fine, but our room was not in the best shape. Let me start by saying that the outside of hotel... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here b/c we were traveling to Charleston with our dog and the hotel allows dogs in their smoking rooms. We have previously stayed in nicer hotels near Marion Square, but were restricted this time by our dog. The price for the location was great. Unless you hit a deal at one of the nicer places... More

We were looking to travel on a budget but at the same time wanted to stay downtown. This motel was clean and worked out for our needs. It could use some maintenance updates (our room had wallpaper peeling off in the bathroom), the shower faucet was iffy (quite often we were caught off-guard when a neighboring room flushed, suddenly too... We stayed here Dec. 6th-8th. This hotel is in a great location and parking is free, but those are the only things about it that are any good at all. The rooms have not been taken care of for years. There's mold in the bathroom and the wallpaper is coming off. The faucet in the tub was leaking, probably gallons... More
