Great location with an ample parking lot. We had 2 rooms in the carriage house and were surprised with how large the rooms were. Able to walk every where with great shopping and many restaurants minutes away. Good value.

The room was immaculate and the staff was very helpful and friendly. One thing to brag about is the breakfast. It was a homemade southern treat! For a b and b built in the 1700's, it is very well taken care of and the rooms are intimate and have great decor.

Just a couple of blocks north of the historical district, the rooms in this B&B were surprisingly large and decorated with charming furniture. They have fireplaces! We enjoyed our jacuzzi tub. Breakfasts were delicious.

We took a short middle of the week get away to Charleston...stayed at the Barksdale House and it was perfect....cozy, comfortable. We parked on Wednesday and never got back to the car until time to leave on Friday...walked to everything. Perfect.

I agree with Tom1925. Though the weekend hot food was excellent and the chef was outgoing and friendly.. I wrote them regarding the housekeeping needs and they responded they would address that with the staff. In regards to the straight backed dining room style chairs in our room they said "I apologize that your room was less than your expectations."... More

Very comfortable B&B. It is on the northern edge of the historic part of the city. Close to Jestine's Kitchen and within walking distance of all the downtown sites. The staff were very helpful when answering my questions regarding my travel plans.
