I was a little hesitant after reading some of the bad reviews, didn't know what I was getting into. I was very pleased. I actually stayed in 3 different rooms while there. No fault of the Lodge. The people were extremely nice. Each room we stayed in was clean. The decor was antique and very charming. My husband and I... more

Part of the Bluegreen Vacation Club, this historic facility used to be a cotton warehouse. All rooms are full apartments, with completely stocked kitchens; all you bring is the food. Beautiful decor, comfortable, 2 tv's, dvd and vcr. Great water pressure. Only one washer/dryer combo for the entire complex, tho. Beautiful courtyard, concierge with discount tickets, free coffee all day,... more

MMy Friends parents own Bluegreen points and gave us the points to take a vacation. Charleston is a great vacation for families and young married couples alike. My wife and I went with our friends who have two young kids. We had a two bedroom and 1.5 baths with full kitchen. It was in great shape. I would recommend this... more

My wife and I are Bluegreen owners like others who have left reviews. This was our first use of our timeshare and we weren't disappointed. The downtown location was difficult to navigate when we arrived at 10:00 in the evening on a Friday. A lot of nightlife activity and not knowing the area made driving slow so travelers need to... more

After reading some of the reviews on this site, I must say I was a little apprehensive about booking this resort. Once we got there we were totally relieved. First, the location is the best in Charleston. We were right on East Bay street and only used our vehicle once during our week stay. The best restaurants and shopping are... more

BEWARE! If you stay at the Lodge Alley Inn, be prepared to be harassed. My husband's father and his wife are Bluegreen owners and when we wanted to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary in Charleston, they were kind enough to arrange for us to stay at the Lodge Alley Inn. I grew up in Charleston and knew that the location... more

I'm an owner of the Blurgreen Vacation Club and I have stayed at the Lodge Alley Inn three times now. Each time we have stayed there we really had a great time. The locations there is right in the center of Old Town. You can easily walk to the Market or walk to the Waterfront Park. I have even walked... more

I stayed at Lodge Alley Inn for a girls trip. Loved the location. It was within walking distance of many historical attractions and great restaurants. We only used our car when we took a drive out to the beach and out to tour a plantation. The room was just okay but was a little on the small side. The only... more

First let me say my wife and I love Charleston. We are also owners of the Bluegreen Vacation Club the company that runs the Lodge Alley Inn. We stayed in Room 303-a suite or studio or whatever you want to call it, and we loved it! The room was plenty big enough for the 2 of us plus our 10... more

We stayed in room 309 and had a list of issues almost immediately that include mildewed shower curtain, shower head that sprayed all over the wall, ceiling, and over the top of the curtain rod; dirty and chipped dishes; blown light bulbs; and roaches crawling on the bed and the room that the front desk fondly called palmetto bugs. They... more
