We stayed at the Mill House Inn June 25-28. Everything about our stay was great. The location is excellent for walking to both King St and to Vendue Range for access to the Waterfront Park. Every member of the staff was courteous and helpful. Room was clean and had everything you could want, even though it was a tad on... more

You could not find a hotel in this area more "Charleston" than this hotel. It was built in the mid 1800's thus the rooms are small, but that is how they were built then. You are staying in an historic district, expections should follow and it is nice to stay in something not built of concrete and glass. Period furniture... more

I recently spent 2 nights at the Mills House. This was my second visit. I booked thru Hotwire and got a great rate. The sevice was excellent. I requested a room near the pool and got a room that opened on to the deck area near the pool. Perfect location. The room was comfortable. I could not get the internet... more

Just returned from three nights at the Mills House. First time traveling with the kids to a place that didn't include a small rodent and friends. I chose the Mills House over other hotels because I knew my kids could take only so much history before they would need to cool off and relax. A nice size pool was my... more

Booked thru Priceline. Upon arrival, room was not made up, but was upgraded to Executive floor. I am still not sure what the difference of this floor vs. my floor was though. Stay was decent, staff was helpful. Breakfast was VERY expensive. Kids liked the pool. Really I was not impressed, but not unhappy either. more

After reading all the reviews on this website I decided to stay at this hotel. What a nightmare....When we arrived the place was like a mad house we could not get anybody to help us with our luggage or car. They said they had 3 different events going at the same time. When we checked in the front desk clerk... more

For the past year our company has hosted three (3) conferences at the Mills House Hotel. Their Management and Staff has just been outstanding. Due to the great location, delicious food, and excellent service, I've brought my family here also. This charming hotel is wonderful for your family or any event that you would want to hold. "Mr. Clarence" would... more

Most of the hotels in Charleston I was considering were pretty pricey. I settled on the Mills House after looking at a lot of sites online. The hotel is at a good location (in the central historic walking area, activity around the hotel, but not at the nosiest location). The courtyard is very pretty. The room decor is better than... more

We were here on a tour for the Spoleto Festival. Comfortable rooms. Enough space. Cofee maker, but no tea, no towel racks to hang towels. Shampoo/conditioner and hand lotion were the only amenities. Noisy when late-comers came in. although otheres in our party did not hear any noise. Nice view of the pool. Ice machine and coke macheine was right... more

We booked the Mills House through Hotwire which was an experience in itself as I suspect relatively few British people either use or have even heard of it. Reasonable size bedroom but the bathroom was far too small. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient staff on reception and the entrance foyer was of a bygone era. Good choice at breakfast but not quite... more
