The downtown area hotels were quite expensive, so we opted for the Sleep Inn outside of downtown to save some money. It was okay. Nothing special about the rooms or the hotel, but was fine for sleeping. We were gone all day for the two days we were there, so only returned in the evening to relax and sleep. more

Stayed 2 nights (Sat-Sun). Originally was put in non-smoking room on the smoking floor (2nd), which was a joke - smell was sucking in anyway. Checked in and room was clean; small but functional. Nice shower...Nice landscaping. courteous clerk...good internet speed...Maid knocked on the door at 9 AM which is too early...all in all a nice stay. more

We stayed at this hotel after a bad experience with the Best Western in Mt Pleasant. This hotel is very comfortable. Nice sized rooms and very clean. I loved the shower in our room. The hotel was nice. The hotel staff was very friendly. I thought I had booked a non-smoking room and I obviously didn't. They swapped rooms with me with no hassle. Booked for less than $80, and not disappointed the least bit. Definitely not a resort hotel, but very good value and in close proximity to historic Charleston (not actually on the peninsula). Clean rooms and comfortable rooms is all I ask, and this hotel delivered. Continental breakfast was lacking for a continental breakfast, however. more
