This is our 2nd trip to Palmer's Pinckney Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have also stayed at the other Palmer Inn on the battery but prefer the location of this inn much better. We live in Charleston and LOVE visiting at this inn to be a tourist in our own city! It is a great location and the... more

While it is conveniently located, Palmer's Pinckney (spelled three ways on signage and literature) is a fairly rickety structure located between carriage tour horse barns which have daily dumpster pickup at 7 to 8 a.m. complete with clanging and loud back-up signal beeps. Since the heat for the entire upper floor is controlled by a single thermostat and the doors... more

On behave of all of the staff here at The Palmer’s Pinckney Inn, I, Cindy, the Inn Keeper, would like to state that we try to make every guest feel at home when they arrive and do every thing in our power to make a stay at The Palmer’s Pinckney Inn as comfortable as possible. We clearly state on our...

My wife and I stayed in the Parisian room for two nights on a Friday and Saturday in late January. Arrived about 5 PM. Weather was quite cool. Not quite the B&B we expected. Pros: working gas fireplace, clean comfortable bed, nice accessories in the room, decent shower, great location near restos, WiFi. Cons: no greeting or any contact with... more

Our guests booked their stay via our online booking system. They were scheduled to arrive on Thursday and depart on Saturday. The booking was meant for a Friday and to depart on Sunday. After numerous attempts to reach them on their phone about their arrival time on Thursday, the Inn Keeper stayed until after 6pm awaiting this couple's arrival on...

My husband and I stayed in the Cottage Room for two nights at a fantastic rate. We arrived late and Cindy (VERY nice innkeeper) had left everything perfect and welcoming for our arrival. The location cannot be beat. I especially loved that, although an older establishment, the decor, amenities, bedding...were updated and felt clean and new. There were fun chairs... more

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Pickney Palmer Inn. We didn't know what to expect since we don't usually stay downtown. The reason we ended up having a nice time was much in part to Cindy the innkeeper. (Virginia was nice also) Cindy made sure our rooms were made up each day. She had homemade goodies... more

My husband and I spent three night's at the inn. While the location was terrific we were somewhat disappointed with the Inn itself. We stayed in the Equestrian Room, which was adequate, however, it should be noted that the jacuzzi tub is the same size, if not smaller, than a normal bathtub. The room faces Pinckney Street and every morning... more

We are known by our size as being a "Quaint Southern Inn" and Charleston Single Houses built in the 1800's were not built to accommodate large oversized baths. We also pride ourselves on the quiet little street, just off of the hustle and bustle of the Market Area and believe it is one of our biggest assets. That being said,...

Having been to Charleston nine times in the last five years this was an excellent value for a charming small B&B. The acomodations were small but intamate and made up for the size by having access to the kitchen next to the office 24 hours which was stocked with fresh food, refreshments, and extra towels and toletries. The bed was... more

This was our second trip to Charleston and our first stay at Palmer's Pinckney Inn. The location was great. It is right around the corner from Market Street. We were able to leave the car at the inn and walk everywhere the entire trip. When we checked in we were given a list of recommended restaurants, of which we tried... more

We stayed for four nights at this inn and thought it was great, very central location, easy walk to shops and restaurants. The restaurant directly over the road was very good. Cindy, the wonderful manager, was very friendly and helpful. Cindy is such an asset to the inn, always smiling and cooked up muffins and brownies etc for the guests.... more

I have been to Charleston six times this year and this was the first time that my bed was so comforable I did not want to get up in the morning. The inn is small but private. I had my choice of the two rooms upstairs of which I chose the street side because of the jucuzzi tube. The street... more
