When I arrived at the hotel, I was amazed at the beauty of the first inside view of the hotel. The clerk said that the inside pool was under construction, but the outside pool was working. She told me that I could get the special discount for the day. The customer service people were extremely nice. As I walked to... more

We have stayed at the Ramada in Charleston before, and we just love to walk around looking at all the military pictures, and especially "Tin Can Alley". I even found two destroyers my Dad was on during Vietnam. Both pools were closed this time, but the front desk quickly called their "sister" hotel, and got permission for my family (mom,... more

This, like a lot of the Ramada properties, is dated. Most of the rooms face outwards into the parking lot - good if you like a drive up room; bad if you prefer quiet. I was in room 139. The room was clean enough with a microwave and fridge, decent TV and plenty of channels. The wallpaper was discolored and... more

I can understand why some of the reviews of this hotel are great and others terrible: its because some of their rooms are great and others awful!. Unfortunately, we got one of the awful rooms the first night of our three night honeymoon. The room was in the back next to the freeway, the door would not open for one... more

This hotel needs to be totally renovated-starting with the front curb -which was in need of landscaping .The front entrance was in need of a good sweeping. Our room was shabby.Floor carpet needs to be thrown out.. Bedding and especially the bedskirts needs to be thrown out. Bathtub was filthy.Bath floor was dirty. One wastebasket in room. The room had a musky odor.Our... more

Pure and simple this is not the Ritz! It is an older motel that could use some updating. But the room was clean, the staff friendly and the hot breakfast is much better the typical cold cereal and waffles most motels offer. Pool was not usable on my last stay, hopefully we will be able to use it on my... more

I read other reviews and was nervous about staying there because of what other people wrote. We arrived and were given a room we didn't want so asked for another and were moved as requested right away. The hotel is old but clean and the staff were so accomodating and bent over backwards for us. We were part of the USS... more

I was part of a group that this hotel seems to thrive on, a military reunion. The staff was great. They seemed interested in our activities and were very helpful. In fact, we returned from a tour of Fort Sumpter in the afternoon, and the day was getting warm. The staff met us in the lobby with glasses of cold... more

Old, dated hotel. Room we stayed in was upstairs but you exit the hotel interior onto an exterior balcony to enter the room. Bathroom could have used a good dousing with bleach to kill the mold on tub and floor. Telephone in room did not work. On the positive, the staff seemed to really try to accomodate and the breakfast... more

Stayed here with my wife and daughter for 2 nights. The hotel has a nice spacious lobby and the hot breakfast is good, with eggs, meat varying by day, grits, cereals, muffins, bagels, pastry. The dining area is more of a real dining area than is common at similarly priced chain hotels where they put tiny tables and chairs in... more
