My 20 + trip to Charleston, and 6th time to Ansonborough Inn. What sets this inn apart from other accomodations: 1. Different room configurations including 1-2 bedrooms, suites with living areas, and kitchenettes. This allows many options for couples and children, friends together, etc. On this recent trip, my cousin and I shared a 2 bedroom suite and were able... more

We stayed 3 nights in the Ansonborough Inn, which wasn't long enough. Charleston is a charming place with plenty to see and the Ansonborough Inn is the ideal location from which to go out and explore. The hotel offers contintental breakfast and hors d'ouevres and wine in the evening, both of which are very good. The staff are very helpful... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ansonborough Inn for my birthday. It was our first trip to Charleston and we were very pleased with the hotel. It was walking distance to the market place and the hotel rooms were beautiful. There is plenty of space and the structure was unique. The bathrooms are updated and the beds are comfortable.... more

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a bachelorette weekend getaway, and we found the accomodations to be perfect. The loft style in the "premium loft" rooms provided enough privacy and the great location made it easy to get to the spa (Earthling), market, and restaurants! Loved our stay and can't wait to go back with my husband! more

The Inn was beautiful. Clearly paid close attention to decorating during the remodel. However, the Inn spent no money on soundproofing! We stayed in Room 107 on the first floor. The room was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. We were very disappointed that the king bed was actually two twin beds pushed together and that we could hear... more

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary. We did not book in advance and were able to secure an excellent rate even without a reservation. The staff at the Ansonborough Inn were friendly and very helpful, and we really liked the layout and design of our loft-style room and of the lobby. We were in a second floor room... more

Booked a loft room last minute and was very pleased with the price, room and location. We enjoyed our spacious loft, and loved that we could walk to everything we wanted to see. Breakfast was a good assortment and fresh and the staff was very nice, we found the hotel pretty clean. We did want to try to get up... more

We went for a long weekend anniversary trip and were upgraded from a loft room into room 106. It is almost directly beside the front desk and was quite noisy. We could hear chatter as well as anytime anyone coughed or sneezed. The room also had an odor that reminded me of an old beauty parlor. It smelled like permanent... more

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful inn. I liked it because it was different from being in a chain hotel as it had its own personality, kind of nautical/pre-revolutionary with original oil paintings everywhere. The check in area is in an atrium lobby, but only 3 stories high, so not echo-ey. Lovely fireplace and couches for hanging out,... more

We stayed 5 days and 4 nights. The staff was extremely courteous and made wise reccommendations for sights to see and other services we requested. We became addicted to the chocolate chip cookies available in the afternoon and the wine and cheese hour in the evening. The continental breakfast was repetitive but ample for the two of us. The location... more
