This property is a bit larger than your average B&B with a typical Charleston architecture. All rooms overlook the courtyard which had a small hot tub/plunge pool. We stayed this past weekend (4/11/08) at a rate of $239 per ngt for a room with double beds. We stayed in room 208 which was decorated in the traditional southern style; four... more

Just returned from a short trip to Charleston, and spent one night at the Meeting Street Inn. The inn is centrally located, and within walking distance of many fine restaurants and shops. The inn is not a 'polished' place. It is more 'shabby chic'. Don't expect high end finishes, granite, high tech showers, etc. Do expect four poster beds, lots... more

I stayed here for three nights with three other women for our annual "girls weekend." We opted to stay together in one room, which was a little tight but we had fun hanging out. Our room was actually very spacious, with two double beds, a large walk-in closet, french doors and a small balcony, and plenty of space for all... more

My husband and I stayed at Meeting Street Inn for our honeymoon and we couldn't have had a better time in Charleston. We're from South Carolina, so we've been to Charleston many times before, but the location and service that Meeting Street Inn had to offer was outstanding. It's located right at the end of Market Street, and any shop... more

Just returned from our yearly visit to Charleston, SC, staying as always at the Meeting Street Inn. For the last several years we've requested the same room, in fact have started making reservations a year in advance just so we could be sure to have "our" room. Each year it's just like coming home when we wheel the luggage trolley... more

Stayed here in August, when they installed the scaffolding for some renovations on the front side of the inn (which did not bother anything, other than to look at the scaffolds) . We loved this place and it's location. It was my wife, 10 year old daughter and I. First, if you want to explore Charleston on foot, then this... more

What a lovely Inn. We were really too early to book in but the receptionist found us a room that was ready for which we were grateful. The room itself was gorgeous, a four poster bed and very clean. In the evening they have an hour where you can enjoy free wine and cheese. We parked up and walked everywhere... more

We stayed at The Meeting Street Inn three nights, Sept. 27 - 29, 2007. We paid something in the $230 to $240 (plus applicable taxes, etc.) range per night for a ground floor room with two Queen beds. That price also included a very nice continental breakfast (cereal, fruit, breads, buns, etc., ham bisquits, and typical beverages). Parking is available... more

I took my mother and my 6 year old daughter to Charleston for a "girls only" trip and stayed at the Meeting Street Inn. Before I left home I rented a scooter for my mother who has difficulty walking. We arrived at the inn at 11am, and because we needed to take time to assemble the scooter, not to mention... more

We loved this little place, but I wished they had informed me before we got there that they were performing some renovations. I wouldn't have cancelled, but I'd liked to have been made aware. Okay, now that I have that out of the way. The staff at the desk was very helpful, and joked with my son a little. The... more
