All I can say is if you are looking for relaxing walking on the beach, or watching dolphin's or or what ever. I would also say be sure you go to Charleston for a day. Wonderful place. We are in our 70 's more

Everyone on the island was like family! From the folks at Ocean Ridge to Piggly Wiggly!We were at the Villages this time(at Marsh Point once before) Our accomodations were GREAT!We had a 15 year old son and our daughter,her husband,8 month old and 8 year old! We stayed in 2 different buildings. The first one was BeachWalk. It was a 4 bedroom condo about 2 blocks from the beach--easy walk. The second one was Sea Oats and it was horrible. We stayed at Marsh Point within Wyndham. I was worried about this trip because of several negative reviews and even tried to change the reservation but I am SO glad we decided to make Ocean walk on Edisto Island our destination this year. We stayed at Palmetto Walk, it was a bit outdated but very clean, no bugs. We stayed for a long weekend with 3 children and had a great stay. Would stay here again. more

Edisto Island is great but we were duped by the Wyndham group. Using points we purchased last Spring, we believed the pretty pictures of newer and nice buildings and interiors both on their website and in their book and reserved a 2-bedroom unit for 7 days. This is a great place to go if you want to kick back and relax! No crowds (except for the one Piggly Wiggly on the Island). Everywhere we ate was a little pricey but you could not complain because the food was fantastic. We went to watch the dolphins and sunset every night that we could, weather permitting. We own a timeshare with Wyndham and stayed at Ocean Ridge, it was great! The island is so laid back, I think it's what most of need today.
