Rooms are very dated, decor is over the top nautically annoying but beds are comfy. No refrigerators which is very inconvenient. Instead they have a keyed access snack box, not cooled, that guests are charged for individual items and they don't offer prices. Candy, crackers, liquor (but only one of each) etc. So why bother? The rooms need updating but are clean. The beach has shared access with other condos and areas of Shipyard plantation. The pool area was okay but it seemed more Holiday Inn quality. It has many amenities on site and within the complex. Very close to the beach. The parking was problematic. This is an older hotel that is showing wear. Our room had some problems with the commode and faucet that were fixed promptly and satisfactorily. The restaurants are pricey - can go out of the complex and get better food/value. more

This was a beautiful hotel in a great location. The hotel was not right on the beach, but there was a boardwalk to the beach. The pool was warm and clean. The gardens were beautiful. Not much to say on this one. You get what you would expect from a Crowne Plaza. Extremely friendly staff, a knowledgeable and courteous concierge, and all of the standard Crowne Plaza Perks. If you are not a Priority Club Member sign up before you show up. It will make your life easier and give you some nice free benefits.... more
