Had a wonderful time at Shem Creek. The front desk clerk was very accomodating and was able to get us the room we requested on the creek side of the Inn. Super location close to the beach and downtown Charleston. Loved sitting on the balconey watching the dolphins and the fishing boats go by. We'll be back! more

arrived at this hotel on a friday night ,room on creek side perfect clean spacious and a veranda overlooking shem creek. although hotel has no dinning room there are plenty of choices surrounding on both sides of the creek which give value for money all recommended Although this creek thrives at the weekend it never got too noisey nor boisterous... more

Checked in and out in 10 minutes. Opened door to marsh view room and was hit with strong smokey odor. Went to desk to express concern and she sprayed carpet and drapes which made odors worse. Picture of room on web site is not indicative of reality. Worn down and need of updating/cleaning. Don't be fooled. more

Beds were comfortable. Staff pleasant and cooperative. Breakfast good but few choices.. Airconditioner worked well. Marsh view did show parking lot more than marsh; Rooms marsh side were quiet. Very accessible to Sullivan;s Island and Charleston. Many accessible restaurants including Burger King to more costly seafood places. more

Not as represented. Big, noisy party hotel. The drunks next door began fighting at 3am. That and the people fighting in the parking lot make for a poor nights sleep.
