I made a reservation by phone and was told that I could cancel without penalty within 24 hours. However, when I called back within the 24-hour time frame, I was told that I would be charged a $155.00 nonrefundable penalty. Shame on you! more
I was impressed with the friendliness of the employees as opposed to the other places we checked out. We have stayed at the Sportsman many times. the folks who own it make us feel like family.. It is an older place nothing real fancy. just comfortable. this place has only 25 rooms and the house keeping crew are wonder ful. and they love dogs.... it is right on the beach. they have a nice pool. and every thing... more
We have stayed at sportsman for the past 6 visits to Myrtle beach. They are the most friendly, curtious, and gracious host. The hotel is older, but they are extremely clean. I picked this place because they allow pets. After checking in and looking at the room I figured that it would be okay. we made face-to-face reservations for our 18 year old son and 4 of his friends for this motel. When we walked in, we asked immediately if they rented rooms to 18 year olds. The person at the desk said they did with each young person paying a $50.00 deposit which would be returned at t he end of their stay.... more
The management during this time period no longer exsisits. We rent to 18 year olds with proper idenification all the time. They always enjoy their stay and their security deposits are always refunded if no damages are made.
Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights by going thru the Myrtle Beach Hotels on line. Only "pet friendly" motel we could book with short notice to take the family and pets to Myrtle Beach. After finding the Sportsman my daughter and I haven't stayed anywhere else. Our family consist of ourselves and our dogs. stayed here memo weekend... hotel was cheap and clean thats all that mattered to me..
