I planned my first family vacation at the Beach Comber. My mother had never seen the ocean and was excited to have a ocean front room.when we checked in they had put us on the second floor which we paid extra for.We had a pool view not the ocean. They moved us the second night. The other room had a better... more

Super nice people - great view of the ocean. They saved us from a terrible stay at the Sandy Beach Resort. They even gave us a discount for the trouble we had with the other place. The rest of our vacation was a pleasure - we definitely enjoyed our stay there. The only thing I might suggest to them is... more

Great family place, not remodeled(not the Hyatt or Hilton), just an older beach front motel with great staff. nothing glamorous but good value, beach was not crowded but beach front at this location of myrtle has always been smaller than north myrtle - ocean has crept in. My family enjoyed the stay and would not hesitate to return. more

We paid $119 per nite - it wasn't worth it. This is the type of room I would expect to get for $29 per nite. The room was musty and the bedspread did not seem clean. There was no hair dryer in the room so I bought one and when I plugged it in there were sparks coming out of... more

As soon as we checked in we noticed two problems. The door jam was broken away from the wall between the two rooms. The door wouldn't shut and there were exposed nails. Also the lamp when you first entered the room was not working. We checked it and the plug was cut completly off the cord. We let them know... more

We wanted to save some money, so we chose the Beachcomber. We had previously stayed at The Palace and Monterey Bay (both of which had great amenities). Our room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and I felt much safer than I did at the larger, fancier places frequented before. I guess it was due to the... more

This is a small family oriented motel. The service is great and they take good care of you. The motel is older but they have upgraded the rooms alot in the past few years. Youa re right on the ocean in the quieter section of Myrtle Beach which was important to us. Less noisey but close to everything! We will... more

While it may not be the most modern facility in Myrtle Beach, I loved it! We stayed there for Bike Week 2004 and had an AWESOME time, thanks to the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere of The Beachcomber. All of these people with reviews complaining about being lazy (i.e no elevator) need to stuff it and stop bashing an outstanding... more

We paid about $35.00 a night for a kitchenette with two beds in November. It was very run down. That is actually an understatement. The room was dirty and musty. more

Hey! so it's not a 5 Star motel. It's clean and they took good care of us. The Krispy Kremes were flowing everyday, The staff was REALLY great. For the money we saved I will be a regular customer from now on. I've been a Landmark regular in the past, but I'm glad they didn't have vacancy and I found... more
