Winter time trip but was still good. Camp at the state park during the summer. Always a good price during the off season. Always a good breakfast. More

We stayed in the Cypress for two nights in January & the resort was beautiful! The pools were not covered over & the lounge chairs were still out - which made the Resort look prettier! The staff was very friendly. There was a lot of acess to the beach & we loved going out on their own pier! More

Dear Past Guest, Thank you for your beautiful comments! One of the perks that our guests are able to enjoy is being able to stroll out onto our own pier and enjoy the views. Since the weather does whatever it wants, we leave all our pool furniture out year round so our guests can ‘sun bathe’ even in January. Thank... More

I stayed in a room in the Live Oaks for a long weekend to attend a conference there, and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the beautiful view of the ocean. It was a basic room (a bit dated, but very clean and neat) with two beds, and I loved having a full-size refrigerator and a... More

Springmaid Beach resort, originally built to serve employees of SpringMaid Mills, has aged poorly. It has needed renovations for some time and they are finally being done. Restaurant is not the greatest, but there are dozens of good quality restaurants nearby. More

NO HOT WATER...IN JANUARY. Need I say more? Well, I guess I have to since there's a 50 character minimum for this review apparently. Thank goodness we were only staying for one night. My husband suffered through the freezing shower, but I wasn't about to. Our door wouldn't shut without shoving it, making a loud bang which I'm certain disturbed... More

We have stayed @ Springmaid twice in the last year. July 2011 and Dec 2011-Jan 2012 for New Year. Our first visit left a little to be desired in reference to the outdated room in the Palmetto building, but they did put us in a balcony room with a fantastic view!!!! For New Year's we stayed in the Live Oaks... More

I really enjoyed this hotel. When we got there I came in expecting a more flashier hotel. It's not, It's definitively more of a value hotel. When walked down the walkway to our room, it was very messy. I felt slightly dirty, but it's an older hotel, and it was right next to a beach, so I didn't say anything.... More
