We splurged for a suite that was clean and comfortable. Dinner in the cozy restaurant was a delight compared to the typical I-95 corridor fare. There is a new Holiday Inn next door that will undoubtedly hurt this little gem of a motel, which is a shame. It is a true American classic! more

On a recommendation from another Northeast to South Florida traveler, we stopped to stay an overnight at Clark's (South Carolina Interstate-95 N or S - Exit 98 - 150 yards from the exit ramps) rather than the usual Hampton, Holiday, or Comfort Inns -- or a room at the the myriad chain hotels in the mid-way stretch along I-95 from... more

A friend recommended Clarks Inn. He had stayed there a few times and a great time. I called them while I was about 40 miles north on 95 heading to Florida in a steady rain to see if they had a room. The receptionist took my name (didn't even ask for a credit card), and said see you in about... more

We always stay at Clarks when we travel I-95 from VA to Jacksonville or back. We have always found it to be a delightfully different stop from the major chains. We have always had wonderful breakfasts, which are actually fit for a diabetic, or low carb dieter to eat. The chains are a diabetic, carb disaster in a plastic bowl... more

I checked the reviews prior to booking Clarks for myself and three sons for our four day golf holiday. The reviews seemed to be good and bad so I decided that I would pay attention during our stay and give my opinion. I chose the Clarks based on location solely. We had two rooms and they were both clean, didn't... more

We spent one night here on our way south. At check in, although we had booked using a credit card to hold the room, I wanted to pay cash, but I had inadvertantly left home without That credit card and so wanted to pay cash. They would NOTaccept cash. I asked two or three times to make sure I understood... more

I was not happy with my stay at the Clark's Inn. The room smelled very funny although it appeared clean. Although they adverfised wifi, the internet did not work in the room and no one seemed to know what to do. I did use the computer in the lobby but.... I did not like anything I was served at the... more

Driving to and from FL we stopped in Santee and had dinner at the Clark House Restaurant. My husband saw a brochure for the Clark Inn. On the trip back from FL we stayed there. It was good value for the $$$. However, the rain interfered with the TV reception...no one on staff seemed to care. It was a Friday.... more

We always try to make Clarks a stop on our long treck south to Florida. Clean, well appointed rooms, great food and a lively bar make Clarks a welcome change from most I95 choices. more

Traveling from mid Florida to New York usually takes me at least two or three days. About 450 miles north, is the sleepy town of Santee, South Carolina, straddling the interstate. You will see signs for Clarks along 95. It is an older property, but well kept and competitve in price with chain motels along the same route. Check-in is... more
