First the good stuff. The room was clean and a pretty good location, quiet other than the highway right next to the room. The little casino there paid off pretty good for just a small casino and the breakfast was really good and the people running it was extremly nice. Locals came to eat there so I guess that says a lot. Now the bad stuff. I asked before we checked in if they had high speed internet, he said yes. When I tried to hook up tho, I had no connection. I called the front desk and he told me sometimes you have to go out side to get connected... I went out the front door and did get a poor connection I supose off of someone elses highspeed. The room we got had one bed, which was very comfortable but small. The room overall was very small and not much room. Other than that it was a nice little place and we would stay there again. more

Excellent place to stay. Rooms are very clean, and very affordable. They have the best breakfasts in the whole city of Deadwood. The staff are very friendly and are more than accommodating..The owners-Gary and Marlene are very friendly and will gladly give you ideas of things to do in and around Deadwood area. We have stayed there every year for the last 15 years and we could not ask for a better place to stay.We usually try to go to Deadwood 2 or 3 times a year and we always stay at the Gold Country Inn and will do so in the future. We have met many folks in Deadwood whom have become very good friends. We always look forward to a return trip. Everyone at the casinos have been very friendly and pleasant towards us. Overall Deadwood is like a little oasis--beautiful scenery, friendly people, great food, and a great getaway. We highly recommend--go to Deadwood for a great holiday!!!!! more
