Through my own error, I realized that we had to check out of our hotel because it was booked and we didn't have a place to stay. I contacted the property owner and he recommended the Lantern Inn. We stayed here, with two adults and 5 kids. LOVED it!! had a very clean room with a kitchenette. the owners set up a cot for the extra child. Coffee, juice, and donuts for breakfast. They were just shutting the pool down for the season, but left it open one more day for our kids. more
Yes, you can stay closer to Rushmore at Keystone, but if you're including Crazy Horse, then stay in Hill City. It's the most convenient for both monuments.
