I was prepared to overlook the less-than-clean room (If you expect your room to be cleaner than your own home this is NOT the place). The many burned out light bulbs. The one lamp by the bed for reading (the other one had a RED shade). The female nude paintings on the walls (not lovely). The tiny overworked window air conditioner and the the neon sign in the front window. The tiny plastic shower stall. The hideously painted bathroon fixtures (UGH!). The bathroom floor of grouted, sharp broken tile shards (OUCH!). The overwhelming chemical smell from the shellac that had just been applied to the paper machier floor when we arrived . . . Sigh, I really thought this would be a neat B&B!
