I have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times in the past year. I wish they had a Holiday Inn Express in jackson, but they don't. This is an older full service hotel. I have always been upgraded to a King suite, and while they hotel is older, the rooms are in pretty good shape. They are quite and functional... more

We were on our way home from indiana and needed a hotel for one night. We have not stayed at a Holiday Inn in years but it was my understanding that Holiday Inn had weeded out all of the older underachieving hotels. The hotel was nice and the room was very large. Everyone was very polite, even allowing us to check in couple hours early. The only negative would be the indoor pool is right out in the open. People eating in the restaurant or people just walking through the lobby can watch you swim. We felt kind of on display. more

Booked a suite here on a road trip from LA to DC. The suite was larger than I expected, but all the lights were those gosh darn cfl'swhich seemed more white than others. The reviewer who says this is the "best in Jackson" must be REALLY easy to impress. The rooms were fine, but the staff was dysfunctional. Wakeup calls didn't work, and the desk person responded by saying, "oh, really?" -- and didn't even bother to apologize! I had several other service issues. We stayed overnight in this hotel in April 2005. We booked a non-smoking suite and even confirmed this while on the drive there. I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Jackson on June 7th and this was the best Holiday that I've ever stayed at. The staff was outstanding, the food was wonderful, and the rooms were huge. Also note, I work for a hotel in Memphis, so when I go to a hotel, I often look for a lot of little things.... more
