20 Feb 2008 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Stayed here in Feb 2008 and a friend of mine had actually just watched a hotel special on 20/20. My friend says the first thing you do when you stay in a hotel is look under the mattresses and look at the pillows. I really didn't believe him until he lifted one mattress and we found a tuxedo black condom... more

The Roadway Inn is a curious place. We booked 5 rooms for the weekend and while all were clean with ample hot water there was also a pervasive "Goodwill smell". The amenities varied between the rooms from one complete with fridge, easy chair, desk/chair, TV, and armoir, to one that had nothing but the beds and armoir (not even the... more

I booked this hotel as 3 star from orbitz. I would give it a 1 star.Thas also goes as Americas Best value inn. Lacation is inear downtown, hard to find, around poor condition houses. Most of people who stayed there were alcoholics and smokers. Dirty, dangerous and old poorly renovated hotel. Staff was nice though. I got what I paid... more

Much like some of the other reviewers, I agree this place is a dump and shames the Best Inn chain. The room was dirty, carpet stained, old, and just gross. It was only tolerable for a college student like me because I've been in much worse. I only took the $90 room because it was during the ND-Tennessee football weekend,... more

I second the previous reviewers. This place is an absolute DUMP. The Best Inn Company should shut this down! The hotel advertised as "evergreen", but the brown water spots and black mildew on the bathroom ceiling certainly cannot qualify as "evergreen"! in addition, some cob web is found on the ceiling corners. and I had to wipe the mirror. The... more

This place is an absolute dump. The room we stayed in was dirty and run down, and there was this awful moan coming from the water pipes. When my husband phoned the "24 hour front desk" they refused to have someone come up and fix it. The guest in the room above us also was disturbed by the pipes and... more

We stayed at this dump while attending the Promisekeepers conference in June 2002. When we first went in, the heat was unbearable. It took an hour to cool the room to a decent temperature. When we were finally comfortable enough to go to sleep, we pulled the sheet back from one of the beds to reveal a huge brown spot.... more
