We stayed in the Hotel Turracherhof for 10 days during our skiing vacation. We booked this in the internet as there was a special offer for the stay including ski-course. As we never have been skiing before in our life, this was a good alternative to booking with a travel agency.

The hotel is located directly at the training ski lift and a lift which leads to all other lifts. You can just leave the hotel terrace and are knee deep in the snow, to come to the lift you will need 10 steps. The hotel has a room for the skiing equipment by the way.
There is a ski-rental directly nect to the lift as well as small shops where you can buy what you need. Also there is child care.

If you come by car, you should take snow chains, just in case. I think this is mandatory in Austria anyway, not sure though.
