What a gem of a place. The food was excellent especially the Collops(lamb chops) and scallops. So fresh, so tender. The staff so very attentive, helpful and pleasing. Waking up in the morning in our very comfortable room with the sun blazing through the picture window reflecting in the harbour's water. I rate this the most idyllic in Ireland. more

Ate in the restaurant. Staff were too busy being busy to look after customers properly. The room was basic but quite adequate and we enjoyed watching the cove, tide in or out. Breakfast in the AM was satisfying and the lady who served was charming. What can I say about this B&B? If you are looking for good food, nice wine, a warm bed and friendly people on your trip then make one of your stops at the Heron's Cove B&B. It is so nice there we are going back for 2 nights in June. more

This was the only bad meal we had during our 2-weeks trip to Ireland. I had the lamb chops, which were 3 small ones and very fatty. DH had the sirloin steak with butter and garlic sauce, which turned out to be so garlic-y, so overpowering, that he could not eat more than a first bite. Nobody ever asked us... more

Heron's Cove is off a small road in the tiny village of Goleen. We are a family of 5 so we booked two rooms but in hindsight we could have fit in her one family room with an extra rollaway bed. Heron's Cove is a true B&B, quaint on a lovely small harbor (when the tide is in, that is!).... more
