This hotel needs a lot of refurbishing. The rooms were cold and the heating inadequate, furnishing was a little tired. The bed was comfortable but room outlook nil. Breakfast Ok (excellent fresh orange juice ) but the room was huge and deserted. The family owners tried but it wasn''t for me. Quite a distance from the village and the nearest... more

Travelled with friends and had booked two rooms. Reception was a bit muddled but rooms were fine, decent size, clean, with tea/coffee facilities. View was non-existent with both rooms facing a cliff face about one metre from the window. Location on harbour was remote and nice with short walks close by. Other facilities included a sitting area and bar as... more

Myself, wife and two children ( from Dublin ) have just spent a lovely week-end at Bunbeg House, Gweedore, and would highly recommend it to others . We had a really friendly welcome from Jean and Andy Carr - the proprietors .The rooms were clean and spacious - with constant hot water available in the ensuite toilets / showers and... more

We arrived at Bunbeg house in the early evening hours of Saturday and were met inside by the owner. He directed us to our rooms on the second floor. The whole house was freezing and so were the rooms, where the doors and windows were wide open, while the outside air temperature was around 10 degrees celcius. We were told... more

Great accomodation in a lovely setting right on the harbour. The B&B was more like a hotel with plenty of space to move around - two lounges, small terrace and a bar. We booked out three rooms and all were a good size with large double beds, everything was very clean and tidy. Cereal and a freshly cooked breakfast was... more

I have just stayed in Bunbeg House with my wife and her family as a base for showing them the delights of Gaoth Dobhair, the nicest and most authentic part of Ireland. The B&B is situated right on the harbour, about a 10 minute walk to the friendliest bar in the county (Huidi Beag's) and is a fantastic place to... more
